Scranton professor's presentation looks at economic impact of opioid epidemic

Penn State Scranton Assistant Professor of Finance Nonna Sorokina addressed the specific impact of the opioid epidemic in her recent presentation, “Assessing the Consumer and Bank Credit Consequences of the Opioid Epidemic: Quo Vadis?” She presented at the campus' Brown Bag Lunch Seminar Series, the first of three being held this semester and the first one to be held in-person and on campus since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Scranton Lion Ambassadors start year with new members, new leadership, new ideas

Penn State Scranton's Lion Ambassadors recently inducted 16 new members and named new officers. The organization allows students to develop skills and gain experiences so they can grow personally and professionally. Penn State Scranton THON dancers eager to dance 'For The Kids'

Penn State Scranton THON dancers, Deyniel Desarden-Ruperto, a fourth-year corporate communication major, and Natalie Schield, a fourth-year information sciences and technology (IST) major, will head to University Park to represent the campus at THON from Feb 18 to 20 at the Bryce Jordan Center.

Campus English alumna and author Tara Marta now promoting writers on YouTube

Penn State Scranton English alumna and published author Tara Marta can now add YouTuber to her growing list of accomplishments. Her new YouTube Channel "Tea with Tara: Conversations About Writing" has already produced several episodes, including interviews with Penn State Scranton Distinguished Professor Emeritus of English and Comparative Literature Philip Mosley and Penn State Scranton Associate Professor of Spanish Beatriz Rivera-Barnes.
