Adult Learners

It's never too late to get an education!

Did you know that approximately 30% of our students are adult learners?

You are an adult learner if you:

  • Are 24 years of age or older
  • Are a veteran or active duty member of the armed services
  • Delayed entering college for at least one year following high school
  • Are returning to school after an absence of four or more years due to employment, homemaking, or another activity
  • Assume multiple adult roles such as parent, spouse/partner, employee and/or student
  • Work full-time
  • Have dependents to support

Adult First-Year Students

Adult first-year students have attempted fewer than 18 college credits after completing high school or earning a GED. Application deadline is Nov. 1 for Spring and Nov. 30 for Fall. Late applications are reviewed on a space-available basis.

Adult Transfer Students

Adult transfer students have attempted more than 18 college credits after completing high school or earning a GED. Application deadline is Oct. 15 for Spring and Dec. 31 for Fall. Late applications are reviewed on a space-available basis.
