Penn State Scranton Library Operations Supervisor Mary Ann Joyce assembled and created the books, DVDs and other materials currently on display in the campus library for Women's History Month. Joyce said the photo cards, info pieces and works on display are fun to browse through and she encourages staff, faculty and students to visit the library to check it out. The display will be shown in the library through the end of the month.

Byron Motley, son of Negro League umpire Bob Motley, will host a screening and live Q&A for his documentary, “The Negro Baseball Leagues: An American Legacy” at Penn State Scranton on Tuesday, March 24. The event is free and open to the public and takes place from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Penn State Interim Regional Chancellor Durell Johnson has announced the addition of four new staff members at the Scranton campus. They are Maria Day, assistant director of admissions; Jordan Fritz, coordinator of student activities; Karen Gallia, assistant to the director of academic affairs; and Adam Horan, IT support specialist.

Building on the momentum of our well-known campus favorites like "Geckos Against Gaslighting," "Capybaras for Consent," and "Cats Against Catcalling," these new designs continue to center messages of healthy relationships, boundaries, empowerment and respect. Stop by to be among the first to grab the latest additions, connect with our team, and help spread the message across campus. Quantities are limited and available while supplies last. The R-VOICE (Relationship Violence Outreach, Intervention, and Community Education) Center is a confidential resource for Penn State students impacted by sexual or gender-based violence, harassment, or stalking. The team provides trauma-informed advocacy, emotional support and guidance to help students understand their options and access the care they need.

Due to wintry conditions, Penn State Scranton has called for a two-hour delay Tuesday, March 3. The campus is closed from 5 a.m. to 10 a.m., with only essential employees reporting at their usual times. Classes will begin, and offices and facilities will open at 10 a.m.
