Lambda Pi Eta Honor Society holds induction and cording ceremony

Earlier this semester the campus' Lambda Pi Eta Alpha Epsilon Chapter, the official honor society of the National Communication Association, inducted its newest Penn State Scranton members in a formal ceremony. The new inductees are Nicholas Sherman and Tanner Begin, vice president of the campus' Corporate Communication Club.

Students who attained a 3.2 or higher GPA were honored for their accomplishments at a special program where they were recognized by Penn State Scranton Chancellor Marwan Wafa in front of their peers and received certificates of achievement.

GivingTuesday to benefit Scranton campus' athletics programs

Penn State Scranton will participate in the University’s eighth celebration of GivingTuesday — a global day of philanthropy — with over 155 featured campaigns showcasing fundraising priorities across the commonwealth. Funds raised during this year’s campaign at the Scranton campus will benefit student athletics, which will use the money raised to enhance the student-athlete experience, as well as address equipment, travel and event needs.
