PSWS Nursing student Kelly Kilcoyne wins Nightingale Awards scholarship

Kelly Kilcoyne, an RN to BSN nursing student at Penn State Worthington Scranton, was the Associate Degree recipient of a Nightingale Awards of Pennsylvania scholarship. She was one of only eight recipients in the state to receive one of these scholarships.  Recipients were honored at the 25th Annual Gala on October 24, 2014 at the Radisson Penn Harris Hotel & Convention Center in Camp Hill.

PSWS offering Spanish for Law Enforcement

Penn State Worthington Scranton's Continuing Education Department is now offering Spanish for Law Enforcement. In recent years, the number of Spanish-speaking individuals in our region has increased. This course, designed  specifically for law enforcement officers, will help members of local police departments communicate with Spanish-speaking individuals in a variety of situations.

 PSU President Dr. Eric Barron visits Worthington Scranton Dr. Eric J. Barron, named Penn State's 18th president by the Board of Trustees on Feb. 17, used the weeks before his official appointment on May 12 to travel to each of the commonwealth campuses with wife, Molly, and Dr. Madlyn Hanes, vice president of commonwealth campuses.
