Business professor helps local nonprofit conduct employee survey

Assistant Teaching Professor of Business James Wilkerson recently assisted the local nonprofit United Neighborhood Centers of NEPA with conducting an employee engagement survey on the organization's practices, strengths and weaknesses. The effort resulted in over 86% of employees completing the survey, which will will be used to identify UNC is doing well and which areas need improvement.

Penn State Scranton hosting annual spring concert on April 23 

Penn State Scranton's musical groups will present their annual spring concert at 4 p.m. Saturday, April 23, at The Theater at North in Scranton. Those attending will enjoy performances by the Penn State Scranton Chorale, the Roc[k]tet, and Campus Jazz Band. Admission to the performance is free and open to the public.

Penn State campus climate survey to close on April 22

Penn State's sexual misconduct climate survey will close on April 22. The survey was sent to a random sample of students at all Penn State campuses; students can check their Penn State email for a link to complete the survey. The University-wide survey is designed to assess issues of sexual assault, misconduct and harassment.

Singer and actor Jesse McCartney will perform at Penn State Scranton on Thursday, April 21. Tickets are free for Penn State Scranton students, $10 for students from other universities and Penn State campuses, $15 for Penn State Scranton faculty and staff, and $25 for the public.

Scranton campus hosts congressman, NSF director to discuss STEM education

Penn State Scranton hosted University officials, U.S. Rep. Matthew Cartwright, National Science Foundation Director Sethuraman Panchanathan, principles from Schott North America Inc., and regional stakeholders to discuss the impact and statewide reach of NSF-supported research, education and entrepreneurship, as well as technology industry partnerships with Penn State that have taken place in the Greater Scranton region.

Penn State Scranton's Undergraduate Research Fair and Exhibition back on campus

For the first time in three years, Penn State Scranton's Undergraduate Research Fair and Exhibition will take place in person. Scheduled for Wednesday, April 6, this year's event will feature the work of 112 students presenting their scholarly research and creative works through oral presentations, poster displays, gallery exhibits and artistic performances.
