The JumpStart mentoring program aims to retain and sustain first- and second-year students by connecting them with peer and faculty/staff mentors and other advocates of the Penn State Scranton campus community who can help them navigate the transition to college life.

Penn State Scranton's next Diversity Circles program will be held virtually every Thursday from March 4 to April 1, over Zoom, with five discussion-based sessions being held in two-hour increments. A time will be decided once the program has been filled.
Penn State Scranton will honor the enduring legacy of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. while recognizing the campus’ own commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion with a virtual presentation of its sixth annual MLK Day Celebration on Monday, Jan. 18. The campus is also partnering with the Greater Scranton MLK Day Commission in hosting a nationally known guest speaker prior to its event.
Penn State Scranton is currently seeking nominations for its Excellence in Diversity Awards, which will be presented at the sixth annual MLK Day Celebration honoring the life and work of civil rights icon Martin Luther King Jr. The virtual ceremony will take place at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 18, on Zoom. This year’s theme is “Love and Truth.”
