In honor of Down Syndrome Awareness Month, Penn State Scranton's Disability Rights, Education Advocacy and Mentoring (DREAMers) Club hosted Sara Wolff, a native of northeast Pennsylvania, as a guest speaker on Oct. 19.
Loan "Emily" Pham, assistant professor of business at Penn State Scranton, was the fall semester's first presenter for the campus' Lunch and Learn Brown Bag Seminar series. Her presentation, “Faculty's Turnover Intention in Vietnamese Public Universities: The Impact of Leader-Member Exchange, Psychological Safety, and Job Embeddedness," focused on employee retention.
Abryel Johnson, a fourth-year nursing student at Penn State Scranton, has received a $1,000 Student Engagement Network grant from the University, which she will use during a shadowing/mentorship co-curricular opportunity with VNA Home Health.

Penn State Ross and Carol Nese College of Nursing assistant research professor, Diane Berish, and current doctoral student, Kalei Kowalchik, were both awarded annual Pennsylvania Higher Education Nursing Schools Association grants.

This fall, eight new arrivals joined the Penn State Scranton campus community, each bringing their unique skills and expertise to bolster various departments on campus.
