The Penn State Scranton Lady Lions basketball team sealed their first win of the season today against PSUAC competitor, Penn State York, 65-64, in overtime on their home court. The PSU Scranton Lady Lions will see Penn State Brandywine at home this Friday, December 7, with tip-off at 6 pm.
Dunmore native and inspirational author Tony Amico signs copies of his book, "Painting Life With Words of Encouragement" for students at Penn State Scranton after speaking to them about overcoming his son's tragic suicide and finding his way through art and writing.
Local author Tony Amico recently was a guest speaker at Penn State Scranton, where he talked about his inspirational book, "Painting Life With Words of Encouragement," a book he wrote after the tragic suicide of his only child, his son, Michelangelo.

The Penn State Scranton Chorale, Roc[k]tet and Jazz Band will host a free Community Holiday Concert at 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 9, at Grace Bible Church, which is located adjacent to campus. The groups also will perform at the annual Campus Holiday Concert at noon on Wednesday, Dec. 5, in The View Café on campus.
The Penn State Scranton Chorale, Roc[k]tet and Jazz Band made their debut at Grace Bible Church in 2016, performing during its holiday Live Nativity event. This year, the musical groups will be hosting their own free community Holiday Concert at the venue, which is located adjacent to campus. The event is taking place on Sunday, Dec. 9. It is open to the public and free of charge.
