Rail Transportation Engineering program hosts Women in Engineering Competition

Penn State Altoona's Rail Transportation program is hosting the Women in Engineering Design Competition, open to first-year and sophomore women at any Penn State campus. There are three rounds to the competition. The first is an online quiz which includes questions about all aspects of engineering and its impact on society, economics, and politics. This round is open until Sunday, Feb. 3.

Holen named chair-elect of Northeast Algal Society's Nominations Committee

Dale Holen, associate professor of biology and biology program coordinator at Penn State Scranton, has been named the 2019 chair-elect of the Northeast Algal Society’s Nominations Committee. As chair, he will be responsible for recruiting NEAS members to run for administrative posts within the group, as well as managing the society's elections.
