At the Penn State Alumni Association's recent Fall Alumni Council Volunteer Awards banquet at University Park, the Penn State Scranton Alumni Society shared the Joint Activity Award with the Wilkes-Barre and Schuylkill alumni societies and the Hazleton Chapter of the Alumni Association. Scranton HDFS Community Club commemorates National Alzheimer’s Disease Month

The Human Development and Family Studies Community Club at Penn State Scranton hosted its third and final Educational Awareness Luncheon with a special presentation on dementia and Alzheimer’s disease by Janet Melnick, HDFS program coordinator and associate teaching professor in HDFS. The presentation, given last month, was to commemorate National Alzheimer's Disease Month.

Members of the Penn State Scranton Chorale perform at the annual Holiday Concert on Sunday, Dec. 8, at Dunmore's Grace Bible Church. The free community concert was attended by more than 400 people; another concert is slated for the campus community on Wednesday, Dec. 11.

Scranton music ensembles ring in holiday season with annual concert

More than 400 members of the community came out to see Penn State Scranton’s three musical ensembles — Penn State Scranton Chorale, Roc[k]tet and Campus Jazz Band — present their annual Holiday Concert last weekend. Another concert is scheduled for Dec. 11 in campus' View Cafe so faculty, staff and students can enjoy some holiday cheer.
