DUNMORE, Pa. — Chancellor Marwan Wafa has announced that the Center for Business Development and Community Outreach (CBDCO) Education Program Specialist Jo Ann Durdan is the Employee of the Month for February.

In nominating her for this recognition, John Drake, CBDCO director, said, “Jo Ann Durdan embraces the concept of trying new things to offer more educational programs to additional audiences. She has been working on teaming up with other campuses to offer shared non-credit virtual programs. These collaborative efforts require a great deal of coordination in their planning, marketing and delivery.”

Drake also highlighted that Durdan has been instrumental in making sure the center’s programs are included on the new statewide education website.

“These two efforts presented Jo Ann major challenges, which she diligently addressed with grace,” he said. “I am glad to nominate Jo Ann for Employee of the Month for her extra efforts to increase our number of programs and raise our campus visibility online.”

Congratulations, Jo Ann!

The Employee of the Month recognition was initiated in 2016 by Wafa as a way of recognizing staff members who go “above and beyond the call of duty” in serving Penn State Scranton. Campus staff, faculty and students are encouraged to nominate staff members for the recognition.
