
Penn State Scranton's first open house of the summer will take place Friday, July 11 at 11 a.m., with a second open house on Friday, August 8, also at 11 a.m. Prospective students and their families will be able to meet current students and faculty, learn about academic programs and admissions and tour the campus.
DUNMORE, Pa. — Prospective students and their families are invited to learn about the numerous educational opportunities at Penn State Scranton during its upcoming “Spend A Summer Day” open houses from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on either Friday, July 11 or Friday, August 8.
During their visit, prospective students and their families will learn about the campus' degree programs; its unique 2+2 Degree Plan, which allows students to start their degree at Penn State Scranton and complete it at University Park or another Penn State campus; and Penn State's 275+ degree programs. They will also meet current students, student leaders, admissions staff and accomplished faculty, and take a tour of the campus, including its cutting-edge labs, creative learning spaces and new, multi-million Library and Nursing Building.
Penn State Scranton currently offers two- and four-year degrees in:
- Biology, bachelor of science (B.S.)
- Business, B.S.
- Business Administration, associate of science (A.S.)
- Corporate Communication, bachelor of arts (B.A.)
- English, B.A.
- Human Development and Family Studies, A.S.
- Human Development and Family Studies, B.S.
- Information Sciences and Technology, A.S.
- Information Technology, B.S.
- Integrative Science, B.S.
- Mechanical Engineering, B.S.
- Multidisciplinary Studies, associate of arts (A.A.)
- Multidisciplinary Studies, B.A.
- Nursing, bachelor of science in nursing (B.S.N.)
- Project and Supply Chain Management, B.S.
- Psychology, B.S. or B.A.
In addition, visitors will receive information about the admission and financial aid processes, as well as ways to get involved on campus.
Those who attend a “Spend A Summer Day” visit are eligible for a waiver of the University's $65 application fee. Registration can be done online, via email at [email protected] or by calling 570-963-2500.
