The 30th Annual Penn State Scranton Alumni Society/James D. Gallagher Golf Tournament will be held on Monday, June 18 at the Country Club of Scranton. Dr. Jason Hanyon has established a scholarship at Penn State Scranton to benefit academically successful students with economic need. The $100,000 endowed scholarship utilized a First-Time Endowed Scholarship match from Penn State.

Penn State Scranton honored several faculty and staff members at its annual Spring Honors Awards Dinner this year for their contributions to the campus.
Dr. Meg Hatch, associate professor of biology and co-coordinator of the science program at Penn State Scranton, was the recipient of this year's Penn State Scranton Advisory Board Award for Teaching. Chancellor Marwan Wafa presented her with the honor at this year's annual Spring Honors Awards dinner.
Nursing graduates took part in the annual Pinning Ceremony, a tradition held at Penn State Scranton for new nurses entering into the profession and posed for the annual photo next to the Nursing Suite, another annual tradition.
