Nursing faculty present COVID-19 infection control, quality and safety webinar

The College of Nursing simulation faculty presented a timely webinar titled "Simulation During the COVID-19 Pandemic: Maintaining Safety and Quality" in response to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on teaching and learning with simulation. The purpose of the webinar was to highlight key safety and infection control considerations for faculty and students when returning to and reopening simulation laboratories.

Scranton campus students spend summer months as virtual orientation leaders

George Stojakovic, left, and Deymeliz Desarden-Ruperto were among six Penn State Scranton students selected by the University to serve as virtual orientation leaders this summer. Other Scranton students selected were: Tabitha Boyd, Dominic Corma, Joseph Krishanda and Marisa Milton. The orientation leaders were tasked with providing assistance to 16,000 incoming University students.

Penn State has launched an integrated effort to remind faculty, staff and students at all campuses and in adjacent communities of the importance of doing their part to limit the spread of COVID-19. “Mask Up or Pack Up” is a research-based campaign that is also launched in State College to create a seamless message for students and other members of the community.
