Penn State Scranton's THON 2025 dancers shared their experience and lasting memories from their participation in the annual event that raises money for the fight against pediatric cancer.
Four Penn State Scranton students have been selected to participate as dancers in THON 2025, taking place Feb. 21 through Feb. 23 at the Bryce Jordan Center. John Evans, Paige Geisler, Matthew Reyes and Gavan Quimby were announced as the campus' THON dancers at a Silent Disco event hosted by the campus Student Government Association.
The Penn State Scranton community has learned which students will be representing the campus as its THON 2024 dancers during THON Weekend, set for Feb. 16-18 at University Park’s Bryce Jordan Center. Abigal Gaebel, Mahek Gandhi and Ashley Torres will join thousands of other Penn State students in the grueling, yet life-changing, 46-hour, no sitting, no sleeping dance marathon that raises money for the Four Diamonds Fund and children battling pediatric cancer.
Penn State Scranton will host its annual Designer Purse Bingo on Sunday, Feb. 5, in the campus’ Multipurpose Building (gymnasium). Doors open at 1 p.m., with regular games of bingo starting at 3 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. All proceeds benefit the campus' THON fundraising efforts.
Penn State Scranton THON dancers, Deyniel Desarden-Ruperto, a fourth-year corporate communication major, and Natalie Schield, a fourth-year information sciences and technology (IST) major, will head to University Park to represent the campus at THON from Feb 18 to 20 at the Bryce Jordan Center.
On Sunday, Feb. 6, Penn State Scranton is hosting a Designer Purse Bingo from 3 to 6:30 p.m. in the campus’ Multi-Purpose Building (gym). The event benefits THON and is open to the public. Organizers are encouraging the campus’ staff, students and the community to come out for the event and bring their friends and family along as well.
