Nursing degree options in Scranton, PA

To become a registered nurse (RN) in Pennsylvania, you need either an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). A two-year ADN allows you to enter the workforce quickly and a four-year BSN focuses on the same clinical skills as the ADN, while placing an emphasis on leadership and more complex levels of care.

After you’ve graduated with a nursing degree and you're ready to earn licensure in Pennsylvania, you’ll need to pass a comprehensive nursing exam to validate your skills as an entry-level nurse. Students in Pennsylvania can take either the NCLEX-RN exam or the State Board Test Pool Exam (SBTPE).
