Earn your RN with Jersey College and finish the BSN program at Penn State Scranton!
The RN to B.S.N. Nursing option at Penn State Scranton is designed to build on what you’ve already accomplished at Jersey College.
How the Jersey College RN to BSN works:
After completing your Associate Degree in Nursing from Jersey College and passing the NLCEX-RN, you’ll undergo a portfolio assessment where you’ll receive up to 30.5 credits for your coursework and additional 33 credits for your RN license. The remaining credits toward your Bachelor of Science in Nursing will be completed at Penn State Scranton. Applicants must maintain a 2.0 GPA and have successfully passed their NCLEX-RN licensure exam. Students must possess an active and valid RN license to enroll in required nursing clinical courses to complete the program.
With various offerings of the college’s RN to BSN option, a full cohort of 10–15 students is required to deliver the necessary courses at Penn State Scranton. If a full cohort is not achieved, interested applicants can still take advantage of this pathway by enrolling in general education courses at Penn State Scranton with the remainder of their nursing courses being delivered online through Penn State World Campus.
