The state-of-the-art nursing facilities for The Ross and Carol Nese College of Nursing at Penn State Scranton were part of a broader $13.1 million Library Nursing Building renovation project. The upgrades represent a significant commitment by Penn State to education and research, community engagement and nursing education.  Read about the ribbon-cutting.

The newly renovated Nursing Suite demonstrates the ongoing dedication to supporting our nursing students on their journey and helping them to achieve their personal, educational and professional goals.  With advanced nursing simulation experiences, recording capabilities, realistic medical supply rooms, and collaborative spaces, we provide a comprehensive learning environment for students in our nursing programs. Our nursing students not only gain essential knowledge but also the practical skills and confidence to excel in a career in nursing.

Labs, Learning Spaces and Specialty Areas

Enhanced simulation experiences with recording capabilities, a realistic supply room, a nurses station and other collaborative spaces all work together to create a comprehensive learning environment.

In addition, our partnership with local community facilities is robust, ranging from acute care, long-term care, outpatient centers, and mental/addiction health facilities. Simulation, labs, didactic, and Interprofessional Educational (IPE) experiences provide students with exceptional learning experiences to prepare them for their transition to a nursing practice.
