DUNMORE, Pa. — On Sunday, Feb. 4, Penn State Scranton invites the community to the Holiday Inn Dunmore, located at 200 Tigue Street, Dunmore, PA 18512, for a fun afternoon of bingo, prizes, and fundraising in support of THON, the world's largest student-run philanthropy committed to supporting families battling pediatric cancer. The doors will swing open at 1 p.m., and the games will kick off at 3 p.m.

Tickets for this popular and highly anticipated annual event are priced at $30 each, offering attendees the chance to play 16 bingo games and enter the door-prize drawing. Attendees also have the chance to win surprise gift cards as part of the "Gift Card Wall" door prize. The first 50 people purchasing a $20 ticket will be guaranteed a special prize.

In addition to the main bingo games, the event will feature raffle baskets, a 50/50 drawing, and four special games available for purchase. Food and beverages will also be offered for purchase through the Holiday Inn.

Limited seating is available, and everyone must have a ticket to enter. This event fills up fast; tickets may be purchased in advance.

Joining forces for a cause, where fun echoes hope 'For The Kids'

Penn State Scranton’s Coordinator of Student Activities Nikki Paolicelli expressed her excitement surrounding the annual event.

“This fundraiser is the most highly anticipated event for Penn State Scranton, benefiting THON,” Paolicelli said. “With designer purses from brands like Tory Burch, Marc Jacobs, Kate Spade, Michael Kors, and our iconic Penn State-themed Dooney and Bourke bags, attendees are in for a treat.”

Noteworthy this year is the change in location to the Holiday Inn in Dunmore, which is providing the event space at no cost.

“We are grateful for their support, and we hope to achieve our fundraising goal of $30,000," Paolicelli said. These funds will directly contribute to covering medical expenses for our THON child, Arelis Rodriguez, who continues to battle cancer and needs our support more than ever.”

Join Penn State Scranton on this special day of fun, games and giving, as the community comes together to support THON and Rodriguez in their fight against cancer.

All proceeds from this event will go towards THON, the Arelis Rodriguez family and Four Diamonds, supporting pediatric cancer research and families battling childhood cancer.
