Penn State’s annual celebration of Constitution Day will take place on Friday, Sept. 16 at University Park, with events happening throughout the month of September across Penn State campuses.
The library staff at Penn State Worthington Scranton held an Open House event on the first day of national Banned Books Week, honoring both the resources that the PSWS campus library offers today's students, as well as celebrating people's right to read whatever books they choose.
Students look through a selection of "banned" books available for check out at the PSWS library. The display featured books that have historically been banned in libraries or schools across the country. Library staff covered the books in brown paper and wrote clues on the covers hinting at the content. Meant to encourage students to expand their reading repertoire, it was part of the PSWS Library's series of events celebrating national Banned Books Week.

The University will hold a Town Hall meeting 3-5 p.m. Sept. 28 in the Pavilion Theatre at University Park. The meeting will be livestreamed and available for all Penn State campuses to view.
