Let's Kick-off the Fall Semester at Penn State Scranton!
It’s August – and that means Back to School for students at Penn State Scranton.
To the new members of the Class of 2026 – Welcome to Penn State Scranton! We are so glad you’re here and looking forward to having you as part of our Penn State Family!
To our returning students – Welcome Back! We missed you and are looking forward to seeing you back on campus in the next few weeks.
As you prepare for the first day of classes on August 22, we wanted to make you aware of some of the events that will be taking place so that you can take advantage of all we have to offer.
Move-In Day Activities
For those who will be moving into The Commons at University Drive apartments, across the street from our campus, Move-In Day is Saturday, August 13.
And, once you’re all moved in and settled, the complex’s management has organized some special events for tenants to enjoy, while getting to know your roommates and neighbors better.
Tuesday, Aug 16: Athletics Tournaments with Roommates Sign-up on move in day
Wednesday, Aug. 17: PSU Day/Night at Montage Mountain Waterpark
Thursday, Aug. 18: Outside Movie Night on the complex grounds at 8 p.m.
Friday, Aug 19: Cookout at The Commons – 5 p.m.
For more information about Move-In Activities or moving into The Commons, contact Aubrey Reese by email at [email protected]
New Student Orientation Part 2
On Friday, August 19, we’ll also be holding our final New Student Orientation (NSO) Part 2 -- a student-only, invitation event designed to help you become comfortable with the transition to college life. It will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Check-in is at The Study Learning Center and a student ID is required.
While there, you’ll get to meet fellow students, faculty and staff, and we’ll provide you with important information about the University and the Penn State Scranton campus.
Athletics Open House for students interested in varsity athletics will immediately follow NSO 2.
And then – the big day – the first day and week of classes, for which we’ve planned a little something for everyone as part of our annual Welcome Week festivities.
Robert Channing is renowned for his ability to demonstrate the incredible power of the human mind. Audiences are consistently amazed and left awestruck by his performances.
