For the past 50 years, thousands of students have attended Penn State Scranton to further their education and get their college degrees. In some cases, students who came to Penn State Scranton also met their soulmates.
Students from Penn State Worthington Scranton joined over 100 more from five other Penn State campuses and spent their spring break on Texas’ Gulf Coast, helping to clean up communities still struggling through the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey.
In May, 1976, African American artist Oliver LaGrone, Penn State's Artist-in-Residence at the time, created two sculptures for Penn State Worthington Scranton. Those pieces have been inspiring awe and curiosity for visitors and students alike for the past 40 years.

PSWS Chancellor Marwan Wafa stopped by the Bryce Jordan Center at the start of THON to show his support to this year's THON dancers, Carli Gruzesky and Allan Souza, and cheer them on as they prepared for the 46-hour marathon.
