On behalf of the Academic Affairs office, welcome to Penn State Scranton. 

We encourage you to explore all we have to offer. Our campus provides exceptional academic programs as well as the resources of a major research University. We are Penn State proud to bring to Northeastern Pennsylvania a number of degree programs from one of the finest universities in the world.

You can earn a Baccalaureate Degree at Penn State Scranton in Business, Corporate Communication, English, Human Development and Family Studies, Information Sciences and Technology, Letters Arts and Sciences, Nursing, Psychology  and Science and an Associate Degree in Business Administration, Human Development and Family Studies, Information Sciences and Technology, and Letters Arts and Sciences.  Penn State Scranton students also are afforded the opportunity to join the Scranton Academic Honors group that is affiliated with the Schreyer Honors College.

At Penn State Scranton, we also offer the first two years of over 160 majors. You can begin your undergraduate degree at Penn State Scranton, and then relocate to University Park or another Penn State campus to complete your degree.

Penn State Scranton has a first-rate faculty. Many are nationally known in their disciplines, and they bring exciting new developments from their fields into the classroom. The Penn State Scranton faculty is also at the forefront of a national trend to bring hands-on active learning techniques to the classroom.

Penn State Scranton faculty support student engagement by incorporating internships, service-learning, and community involvement into their courses and programs. These engagement experiences provide collaborative and active learning opportunities that allow students to build community and civic relationships extending beyond their undergraduate career.

Penn State Scranton’s facilities are continuously expanding and advancing to meet curricular and student needs. 

The David and Ann Hawk Student Success Center brings together tutoring services with financial aid information and career counseling, as well as health and wellness services.

The campus Library provides access to an outstanding collection of books, periodicals, and databases throughout the Penn State University library system and beyond.

The Business Building is complete with a Wall Street-style trading room including double-screen desk trading computers and a Wall Street digital ticker-tape.

Computing resources for undergraduates at the Penn State Scranton Campus are first-rate. We provide both general-use and specialized labs for our major programs.

Penn State Scranton also offers a wide array of student activities including student government, student clubs, varsity team sports and intramural athletics.
