DUNMORE, Pa. — Penn State Worthington Scranton will hold its Spend A Summer Evening Open House at 6 p.m. on July 11 in the View Café of the campus' Study Learning Center.

The Spend A Summer Evening program is for students, both traditional and non-traditional, that are starting their college searches. It is a fun and relaxed way for them to visit the campus; meet other Penn State students, faculty and staff; and get the opportunity to ask any questions they have about pursuing a college degree at Penn State.

Prospective students will learn about the Penn State Commonwealth Campus system, the University’s 160 majors, and the 12 baccalaureate and four associate degree programs currently offered at Penn State Worthington Scranton.

Students will also hear about academic advising, career counseling and internship opportunities, and have the chance to talk with current Penn State Worthington Scranton student leaders.

Visitors will also tour the campus’ facilities, such as The Science Suite, featuring high-tech biology, chemistry and physics labs; the Hawk Student Success Center; new athletic facilities; and the Business Building, which features a Wall Street-style trading room classroom.

Faculty, staff and students will also be on hand to discuss the campus' honors programs, student clubs, financial aid, housing, advising and admissions criteria, the college application process and student life at PSWS.
