DUNMORE, Pa. — Penn State Scranton Chancellor Marwan Wafa has announced that Enrollment Services Specialist Nick Tomaskovic has been named the campus’ Employee of the Month for March.

He was nominated for this distinction by Director of Enrollment Management and Student Aid James Garraway who wrote, “Nick came on board in the summer of 2023 and has taken on the challenge of fixing our Slate queries that enable us to improve our communication and follow up with students in various stages of the enrollment process. He often volunteers to step in to cover events where there are gaps in our coverage schedule and has taken the time to acquire knowledge of the FAFSA changes that will impact the financial aid awarding process.”

Additionally, Garraway said, “He is the co-adviser of the Lion Ambassador Program and continues to look at ways to improve this important connection for students considering our campus. Nick also has been known to fill in as the Lion when necessary at local events and parades to help us maintain a presence in the community.”

Congratulations, Nick!

The Employee of the Month recognition was initiated in 2016 by Wafa as a way of distinguishing staff members who “go above and beyond the call of duty” in serving Penn State Scranton. Campus staff, faculty and students are encouraged to nominate staff members for the recognition of going “above and beyond.”
