Penn State Scranton students are encouraged to attend this year's Career and Internship Fair on Thursday, February 9 from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in The View Cafe in the Study Learning Center. Over 20 regional employers will be represented.
DUNMORE, Pa. — It’s never too early to start exploring potential career and internship opportunities — and on Thursday, Feb. 9, students will have the opportunity to network with local employers and enhance their ability to secure internship or full-time job opportunities at Penn State Scranton's Career and Internship Fair.
The event will take place from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in The View Café. All students are encouraged to attend and take advantage of the opportunities to network with a wide variety of employers from the area.
“This is key because first impressions made in-person dramatically increase a student's likelihood of securing an interview because they get to demonstrate their interpersonal and soft skills directly with the employer,” said Jon Tobin, coordinator of career services. “It is also an excellent opportunity for first-and second-year students to start their career exploration process.”
