Dr. Gregory Jenkins, the keynote speaker for the 2021 Penn State Eastern Regional Undergraduate Research Symposium, is a professor in the Department of Meteorology and Atmospheric Science at Penn State University and director of the Alliance for Education, Sciences, Engineering and Development in Africa (AESEDA). He also serves as the director to the EnvironMentors program at Penn State.
On March 3, Penn State Laureate David Witwer will present "Searching for Jimmy Hoffa: The Disappearance of America's Most Notorious Labor Leader and Why It Still Matters Today" during a virtual Zoom discussion about the infamous Teamster's leader.
Students are being asked to submit their research projects for inclusion in this year's annual Undergraduate Research Fair and Exhibition, which will be held virtually this year. Students can submit projects now through March 12, 2021.
At 7 p.m. on Monday, March 1, Cristen Conger and Caroline Ervin from Unladylike Media will discuss the intersection of the feminist movement, #MeToo, and the Abolition Movement, with a discussion of how feminism and white womanhood have pushed up against racial equity historically through present day.
