Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP)

All Students are expected to maintain a total completion rate of 67% or higher to maintain progress.  Dropping, withdrawing, or failing can all negatively impact your completion rate. Students who drop below the completion rate will no longer be eligible for federal financial aid. Academic advisers and financial aid should be consulted prior to taking any of the above actions

SAP calculation is as follows: number of completed credits / number of attempted credits = percentage completion

Max Time Frame

  • Bachelor Degree Seeking students can obtain up to 180 credits prior to maxing out their timeframe
  • Associate degree students can obtain up to 90 credits prior to maxing out their timeframe

***If you have maxed out your timeframe appeals are available in the financial aid office***
