All Students are expected to maintain a total completion rate of 67% or higher to maintain progress. Dropping, withdrawing, or failing can all negatively impact your completion rate. Students who drop below the completion rate will no longer be eligible for federal financial aid. Academic advisers and financial aid should be consulted prior to taking any of the above actions
SAP calculation is as follows: number of completed credits / number of attempted credits = percentage completion
Max Time Frame
Bachelor Degree Seeking students can obtain up to 180 credits prior to maxing out their timeframe
Associate degree students can obtain up to 90 credits prior to maxing out their timeframe
***If you have maxed out your timeframe appeals are available in the financial aid office***
Use the Accept/Decline Awards link in LionPath (navigate to “my finances, “financial aid” “2022” aid year) to lower/adjust your loan or accept/decline the full amount
Complete the MPN (master promissory note) through the studentaid.gov website. This is your promise to repay the loan back to your loan servicer.
Complete Loan Entrance Counseling through the studentaid.gov website. The counseling is loan quiz which will provide you with additional information about your loan such as the repayment terms and conditions.
