Penn State Scranton THON Dancers Deyniel and Natalie at the recent THON prom where they were announced as the campus dancers

Penn State Scranton's 2022 THON dancers Deyniel Desarden-Ruperto and Natalie Schield, announced at last month's Dancing 4 Diamonds THON Prom at Penn State Scranton, are heading to University Park on Thursday for THON 2022 -- where they will join other PSU students from across the state in the annual 46-hour dance marathon that raises money to fight pediatric cancer.

As one of its fundraisers leading up to THON 2022, Penn State Scranton is hosting a Dancing 4 Diamonds formal event at the campus for students and their guests. The event also aims to provide a formal social event for students who may have missed their high school proms and semi-formals due to the pandemic.

The Penn State Scranton Library has a Black History Month Display near its front entrance celebrating Black individuals, history and areas of interest, as well as some books by famous Black individuals such as President Barack Obama, former First Lady Michelle, Berry Gordy and tennis great Arthur Ashe.
