To celebrate the holiday season, Marketing Specialist Morgan Sewack and Scranton Library Operations Supervisor Mary Ann Joyce created a festive display near the library's main entrance highlighting holiday traditions from cultures around the world. The books, informational pieces and traditional items are currently on display, with books and DVDs available to borrow.

Dr. Mizanoor Rahman, assistant professor of mechanical engineering instructs students on making a smart device in the Mechatronics Lab at Penn State Scranton. Mechatronics is a fusion of mechanical, electronics, coding, and artificial intelligence using equipment such as Arduinos, Robots, etc.
Fred Aebli, lecturer of information sciences and technology at Penn State Scranton and creator of GetMeCoding, which teaches computer coding, was the guest speaker for the Family Business Alliance’s (FBA) recent informational program on artificial intelligence (AI) and what it means for employees and businesses. The presentation, “Great Uses of AI in Your Business”, was part of the FBA’s slate of fall offerings.
