Peslak with colleagues in Kazhakstan

Dr. Alan Peslak, professor of Information Sciences and Technology at Penn State Scranton, poses for a photo with colleagues during his trip to Nur-Sultan, the capital city of the central Asian country of Kazakhstan. There, he worked with faculty at S. Seifullin Kazakh AgroTechnical University to develop an IT project for Seifullin and Penn State Scranton students to work on together throughout the fall semester.

In touring the city, Peslak was struck by Nur-Sultan's striking architecture, which included the Palace of Peace and Reconciliation.

When not busy with students and colleagues at the university, Peslak took in some of the sites and culture of the area, visiting most of Nur-Sultan's top tourist attractions, including the Nur-Astana Mosque.

Penn State Scranton Professor of Information Sciences and Technology (IST) Dr. Alan Peslak recently traveled to Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan to develop a cross-cultural IT project for his students and students at S. Seifullin Kazakh AgroTechnical University in Nur-Sultan.
