Penn State Scranton Chancellor Marwan Wafa and his wife, Sahar al Masri, were instrumental in starting the Diversity Circles program at the campus several years ago and have continuously supported diversity and inclusion efforts. Now, the campus is partnering with the Greater Scranton MLK Commission and other local colleges to address systemic racism, to help foster greater understanding and acceptance in the local community.

On Thursday, Sept. 17 from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. the Red Cross’ Bloodmobile will be parked in the visitors parking area near the Study Learning Center for the campus' Blood Drive. In addition to giving blood, donors will also be provided with free antibody testing to determine if they’ve potentially been exposed to the COVID-19 coronavirus.
