SCRANTON, Pa. — Karla Smith, technical services, at Penn State Scranton, has been named the May Employee of the Month by Chancellor Marwan Wafa.
Karla Smith, in the campus technical services area, has been named the Employee of the Month by Penn State Scranton Chancellor Marwan Wafa.
“Karla puts special touches on everything to let us know she's interested in doing a great job,” wrote Information Technology Director Marilee Mulvey. “Her willingness to ask for feedback is noteworthy. She definitely goes above and beyond with all she does on the first floor of Dawson.”
Director of Development Christine Ostroski said, “I have noticed a huge difference in the appearance of our floor since Karla started. Karla has pride in her work and has a very positive attitude. She goes the extra mile in her daily job duties. Keep up the great work, we all appreciate you.”
The Employee of the Month is a recognition award created by the chancellor to distinguish staff members who "go above and beyond the call of duty" in serving the campus.
