DUNMORE, Pa. — Penn State Scranton Chancellor Marwan Wafa has announced that Suzanne Morgan, an administrative support assistant in Academic Affairs, is the November Employee of the Month.
In his nomination, Assistant Chief Academic Officer Mike Evans wrote: “Suzanne has worked diligently this summer on-boarding 20 (16 part-time and four full-time) new faculty members to Workday. This involved numerous meetings with the new employees and collaboration with various departments at Penn State Scranton and University Park, including HR, the Business Department, campus police, IT and more, as well as follow-through on documentation to ensure everything was successfully uploaded prior to the start of the semester. This took a lot of work and planning, as this process is new to all of us, and Suzanne took the lead in managing this process. While doing all of this, Suzanne continued to manage her daily responsibilities, all with a smile and enthusiasm for helping others and improving the Penn State Scranton community.”
Kim Flanders, assistant teaching professor and program coordinator of corporate communication, added: “Suzanne has assisted me numerous times with tasks and always does so with a smile on her face. She is always fast and pleasant, no matter the request. As a newer faculty member, I have relied on Suzanne countless times.”
The Employee of the Month recognition was initiated in 2016 by Wafa as a way of distinguishing staff members who "go above and beyond the call of duty" in serving Penn State Scranton.
Congratulations, Suzanne!
