DUNMORE, Pa. — Andy Yakubik, Penn State Worthington Scranton police officer, has been named the October Employee of the Month by Chancellor Marwan Wafa.
In nominating Yakubik for the honor, Director of Enrollment Management Sandy Feather said, "Andy has always been our ice cream scooper with a smile! He goes above and beyond to volunteer in helping teach students about safety. Andy is passionate about working with our military students and is well deserving of the October Employee of the Month.”
Director of Business Services Gene Grogan stated, “Andy volunteers his time at many campus events, including off campus events such as the Veteran's Heavy Haul 5K Race in Moscow and the Veteran's Memorial Service & Luncheon. He also volunteers his time teaching Basic First Aid and CPR Classes at the Boys & Girls Club.”
The Employee of the Month recognition was created by Wafa as a way of distinguishing campus staff who "go above and beyond the call of duty" in serving Penn State Worthington Scranton.
