Registrar Allison Burns is Worthington Scranton's July Employee of the Month

DUNMORE, Pa. — Allison Burns, Penn State Worthington Scranton registrar, has been named the July Employee of the Month by Chancellor Marwan Wafa.

In nominating Burns for the honor, Worthington Scranton Chief Academic Officer H. Durell Johnson wrote: "Allison is a valuable member of the academic affairs unit, as she creates and maintains a culture of providing quality student service and facilitating effective and professional working relationships with the larger campus community.

"Allison’s role as the campus registrar requires attention to the implementation of academic policy, and she has ensured continued quality in meeting her area’s expectations, all while handling the implementation of several new information systems. Her interaction with the larger campus community is exceptional, and this outreach is possible only through attentiveness to exceptional performance in meeting the registrar’s operational responsibilities and strategic goals."

The Employee of the Month recognition was created by Wafa as a way of distinguishing campus staff who "go above and beyond the call of duty" in serving Penn State Worthington Scranton.

Congratulations, Allison!
