Elizabeth Jones, a student and member of the cross country team at Penn State Worthington Scranton, is featured in the October 22 edition of the Abington Journal, a local weekly newspaper.
Student-athlete Jones has overcome some adversities and credits her cross country success to both her high school coach and her current coach at Penn State, Gary Edstrom - who was named Coach of the Year in April by the Penn State University Athletic Conference (PSUAC).
This past spring, the women's cross country team was named League Champions of the Penn State University Athletic Conference and in February, the team joined the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA)
