In an effort to further serve the needs of both current students and individuals interested in taking college courses, Worthington Scranton's Continuing Education department is offering seven-week, mid-semester start courses that begin March 14.
Courses will be offered in effective speech, introductory psychology, management and marketing.
These new courses were designed to allow individuals the opportunity to get started in the courses they want or need to take, without having to wait until the start of the next semester, said Director of Continuing Education John Drake.
Courses were designed to fit a variety of individuals, from current Penn State students, students enrolled at other local universities, or adults who need additional credit courses, and give them the opportunity to take those courses in a compressed, time-effective manner, he added. These courses could also help dual enrollment high school students, he said.
The courses start the week of March 14 and run through April 25, which means they can be completed in less than two months, and are held on evenings and weekends.
