Campus hires new administrative support coordinator for executive office

Dr. Mary-Beth Krogh-Jespersen, chancellor at Penn State Worthington Scranton, is pleased to announce the recent hiring of Marianne Gable as administrative support coordinator/assistant to the chancellor.

In her new role, she will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the campus' executive office and assisting the chancellor; providing customer service to the campus' faculty, staff and visitors; managing executive travel and expenses; managing and coordinating staff meetings; and overseeing the word processing department.

A graduate of Scranton Central High School and Lackawanna College's Customer Service Certificate Program, she is also a certified phlebotomy technician and member of the American Society of Phlebotomy Technicians (ASPT).

Prior to joining Penn State Worthington Scranton, Mrs. Gable worked at Cinram for over 24 years in a variety of capacities, including six years as executive assistant to the president, secretary to the senior director of WAMO, facilities management secretary, and purchasing secretary.

Mrs. Gable is a volunteer with the Lackawanna River Corridor Association, and when she can she is an usher for the Scranton Cultural Center.

In her spare time she enjoys gardening, cooking, reading, theatre and spending time with family and friends.  She resides in Taylor with her husband and two daughters.
