Penn State Worthington Scranton alumni groups award scholarships

Each year, the Penn State Worthington Scranton Alumni Society and the Penn State Wayne/Pike Chapter of the Penn State Alumni Association sponsor scholarships that are awarded to students attending the University.

The Wayne/Pike Penn State Chapter has an endowed scholarship to recognize academically talented students who are incoming freshmen from high schools in Wayne and Pike counties who are enrolled at Penn State Worthington Scranton.

This year's recipients are Jonathan Connelly, Dingman's Ferry, and Timothy Granata, Lake Ariel.

The Penn State Worthington Scranton Alumni Society, comprised of former campus students and graduates, awards its scholarship to full-time campus students who are enrolled in any of Penn State's degree programs.

This year's recipient is Andrew Salva, Mayfield.

The recipients met officers from these organizations at Penn State Worthington Scranton's annual scholarship reception, held recently at St. Mary's Center in Scranton.

Each year, Penn State Worthington Scranton hosts a reception to honor scholarship donors and recipients and provide the recipients and their families an opportunity to meet the donors of the scholarships that they have received.
