Employees celebrating landmark anniversaries were honored at the campus' Welcome Back event earlier this month. DUNMORE, Pa. — Penn State Scranton celebrated employees who have reached significant career milestones at its annual Spring Assembly. Northeast Regional Chancellor Elizabeth Wright presented the Years of Service awards to those who demonstrated long-term dedication to the campus and its mission and goals.
This year’s award recipients included:
Five years of service
- Angela Bassani, assistant teaching professor of accounting
- Meghan Cruciani, associate director of academic advising
- Robert Marmo, police officer
10 years of service
- Theresa Baker, assistant teaching professor of nursing
- Paul Frisch, assistant teaching professor of history
- Ray Petren, associate professor of human development and family studies
- Corianne Thompson-Alban, lecturer of art and honors program coordinator
15 years of service
- Eileen Giovagnoli, associate director of learning and disability services
- Matt Nied, director of student services and engagement and interim director of athletics
- Amamda ‘Jill’ Thoman, campus nurse
20 years of service
- Meg Hatch, associate professor of biology and honors program coordinator
- Phuong-Truc Pham, associate professor of chemistry
25 years of service
- Fred Aebli, lecturer of information technology
- Allison Burns, campus registrar
- Durrell Johnson, chief academic officer of academic affairs
- Robert Notari, interim regional IT director
30 years of service
- Dale Holen, associate professor of biology
The ceremony provided an opportunity to reflect on the valuable contributions made by these employees, whose commitment continues to enrich the campus community. Each award recipient was presented with a commemorative gift in recognition of their years of service.
