Penn State Worthington Scranton's Continuing Education Department is now offering Spanish for Law Enforcement.
In recent years, the number of Spanish-speaking individuals in our region has increased. This course, designed specifically for law enforcement officers, will help members of local police departments communicate with Spanish-speaking individuals in a variety of situations.
Course participants will learn terms, phrases, questions, and commands that can be used in basic conversations while on duty and emergency interactions.
The course takes place Saturdays, October 18, 25 and November 8, (no class on November 1), from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., (including a half-hour lunch break). The fee is $150 and includes course materials that participants can keep to help them continue using what they've learned.
