Penn State Scranton hosting Virtual Spring Open House on March 28

DUNMORE, Pa. -- Penn State Scranton is hosting its virtual spring open house on Sunday, March 28 for students who are considering applying to Penn State Scranton.

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and crowd restrictions, the campus will hold its annual spring open house virtually for the second year in a row. The event will be held from 10 AM to 11 AM through Zoom.

For students that haven’t applied or who are waiting to be accepted, this event will let students and parents hear about the resources and opportunities Penn State Scranton has to offer.

Students will be asked what they imagine themselves being at Penn State Scranton and what they hope to accomplish during their time at the campus. They will also hear from current Penn State Scranton students and recent alumni to hear about their experiences and to answer any questions.

The prospective students will also be eligible to have a $65 application fee waived for attending the event.

There will also be information presented on Penn State Scranton’s financial aid options through the admissions office, as well as other important information regarding the application and aid process. Attendees will also get a virtual tour of the campus, giving these students an idea of what it’s really like to be a Penn Stater.

“The best part about the admission and financial aid team is the excitement of showing off what our students are doing or have done to make this campus welcoming and inclusive. Our PSSN students tell the story, while we are there to support them,” said campus Director of Enrollment Management Sandra Feather.

Penn State offers over 275 majors across 20 campuses throughout the Commonwealth. For more information and to register for the spring open house, please visit:  scranton.psu.edu
