The College of Nursing has joined with 190 other schools of nursing in educating nurse practitioner students on the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's Guideline for Prescribing Opioids for Chronic Pain.

Wi-Fi calling now supported at Penn State

To enable cellular calls in areas with weak carrier coverage or in buildings with spotty reception, Voice over Wireless, or Wi-Fi calling, is now supported at Penn State through the University’s primary cellular vendors: AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile and Sprint.

The "University of Family" sculpture at Penn State Worthington, located on a hillside on the upper portion of the campus, is one of two original sculptures created by 20th century African American artist Oliver LaGrone, specifically for the campus. This year marks the 40th anniversary of the piece's installation.

2016 Excellence in Advising Award

During fall semester students nominate academic advisers for the annual Penn State Excellence in Academic Advising Award. Sponsored by the University Advising Council and the Office for Undergraduate Education, the award honors one faculty and one staff adviser who students feel have been especially helpful in teaching them how to navigate the University’s academic system, plan a fulfilling program of study, and learn to manage their own educational journey.
