Human Resources Management (SHRM)

SHRM, the Society for Human Resource Management, creates better workplaces where employers and employees thrive together. 

SHRM Essentials of Human Resources

 SHRM training is ideal for those who are:

  • New to HR
  • Small business owners
  • Managers and professionals with HR responsibilities

The SHRM training program covers six key HR topics and provides tools you can immediately put to use in your organization:

  • Human Resources. Gain a clear understanding of the HR function.
  • Talent Acquisition. Develop important skills for attracting and selecting employees.
  • Total Rewards. Learn the key elements of a total compensation system.
  • Learning and Development. Obtain an understanding of orientation, development, and training.
  • Performance Management. Discover the purpose and process for performance evaluation.
  • Employment Law. Enhance your ability to apply key HR legislation.

SHRM Training Schedule - Spring 2023

  • Dates: May 4, 2023 - May 25, 2023
  • Time: Thursdays, 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.
  • Delivery:  Instructor-led videoconferencing via Zoom
  • SHRM Course Fee: $549 includes materials.
  • SHRM REGISTRATION DEADLINE: April 21, 2023. Register early to receive your materials in time for class.

SHRM Learning System

SHRM has established the new certification standard for the HR profession. Earning your SHRM-Certified Professional (SHRM-CP™) or SHRM-Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP™) credential establishes you as a recognized expert in the HR field.

This SHRM certification course consists of 39 hours of classroom instruction, including a review prior to the new certification exam. In addition to the classroom experience, you will receive SHRM Learning System materials and access to online learning, legislative updates and practice tests.

SHRM Learning System Schedule - Fall 2023

  • Dates: TBD
  • Time: Thursdays, 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.
  • Delivery:  Instructor-led videoconferencing via Zoom

SHRM System Course Fee

  • $1,300 for NEPA & National SHRM members
  • $1,500 for National SHRM members
  • $1,600 for non-members

The fee includes study materials.
