DUNMORE, Pa. — Administrative Support Assistant Michele Nicoteri has been named Penn State Worthington Scranton's February Employee of the Month by Chancellor Marwan Wafa.
"Michele handles the budgets for student affairs, and throughout this last year a number of changes were put into place. Michele was instrumental in getting these changes implemented and worked collaboratively with the finance office, which resulted in a very smooth transition," said Director of Finance Kim Bogdan. "Her knowledge and can-do attitude are very much appreciated."
Marianne Gable, executive assistant to the chancellor, stated: "Michele is regularly asked, but more often volunteers, to assist other departments in the implementation and coordination of their programs, such as orientation, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, lectures, visits and navigating project issues and concerns."
"Staff and students regularly comment on how informative, helpful and friendly Michele is during their interactions," she added.
The Employee of the Month recognition was created by Chancellor Wafa as a way of distinguishing campus staff who "go above and beyond the call of duty" in serving Penn State Worthington Scranton.
Congratulations Michele!
