Sandy Feather, MS, PT has been promoted to director of enrollment management at Penn State Worthington Scranton.
Ms. Feather has been employed at Penn State Worthington Scranton since 2005. As associate director of enrollment management and admissions, she was responsible for establishing several new programs at the campus, such as Partners in Success, the Science Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Summer Academy, and instituted program target marketing and middle school outreach efforts to enhance Worthington Scranton's overall student recruitment and retention goals.
She developed strategies to recruit under-represented students, initiated college planning programming for students with disabilities, as well as spearheaded efforts to better serve veterans who enroll at Worthington Scranton.
In her new role, Ms. Feather will be responsible for planning, coordinating, directing and implementing campus enrollment management activities including admissions, student recruitment, market analysis, and retention strategies.
A member of several campus committees, such as the web team, scholarship committee, marketing council, chancellor's cabinet, and chair of the Enrollment Management Council, she also serves as a dual enrollment adviser for high school students taking college-credit courses at Penn State Worthington Scranton, and is an adviser for the campus' Lion Ambassadors and is an adult education coordinator.
She has received the Penn State Award for Excellence in Administrative Service, the Penn State Gertrude Hawk Chocolates Service Award, Penn State's Achieving Women Award, and the NEPA Counselor Association's Service Award.
Ms. Feather earned a master's degree in education from St. Joseph's University, a master's degree in physical therapy from Neumann College, and her bachelor's degree in molecular biology from Cedar Crest College, as well as associate's degree as a physical therapy assistant from Harcum College, where she served as a faculty instructor and director of the Physical Therapy Assistant Program.
A member of the Pennsylvania Association for College Admissions Counseling, she is a graduate of Leadership Lackawanna and Executive Leadership Lackawanna, and has served as a presenter at Leadership Lackawanna Executive Program's graduation on Volunteerism and Community Involvement and at the College Board Fall Counselor Workshop on Hot Topics in Northeast PA.
Prior to joining the campus in 2005, Ms. Feather was director of enrollment management for Johnson College.
She resides in South Abington Township, with her husband Jeff and their two daughters.
