Penn State Worthington Scranton joined Commonwealth campuses across the state on Monday in launching the University's new brand initiative, "Penn State Lives Here."
Students, staff and faculty at Penn State Worthington Scranton marked the occasion there by gathering for a public unfurling of a banner on the campus' Study Learning Center, which overlooks the campus entrance and patio.
The new slogan, announced at University Park on Saturday during the homecoming football game at Beaver Stadiium, touts a positive new message that highlights Penn State's excellence, innovation, passion and collaboration and portrays Penn Staters as not only high achievers, but also as 'doers' -- molded in an environment that values success, teamwork and service to others and is meant to embody the accomplishments and contributions of Penn Staters around the globe.
The initiative is the result of research, surveys, and discussions with thousands of students, faculty, staff, and alumni about what Penn State means to them and the value they believe the University delivers.
