The Visiting Nurse Association (VNA) of Lackawanna County & Surrounding Communities will present a Lunch and Learn program, "Diabetes Awareness, Nutrition and Management," on Wednesday, Nov. 11 at Noon at their offices in Olyphant.
The program is being presented as part of National Diabetes Month and is aimed at helping those afflicted with diabetes, as well as their family members and caretakers.
PSWS Assistant Chief Academic Officer and Nursing Instructor Michael Evans, M.S.N., M.S.Ed., RN, ACNS, CMSRN, CNE, will be a presenter, along with Marilyn Ksiazek, M.S., a certified diabetes educator, who is also a registered dietician and licensed dietician nutritionist.
The program is free, but space is limited and reservations are required, so anyone interested in attending should RSVP to the VNA by calling 570-383-5180. The VNA's offices are located at 301 Delaware Avenue in Olyphant.
